Collection consists of photographs, WAAC graduation programs, military decorations, and correspondence between Harriette ("Hat") and fellow WAACs during World War II; her military personnel file; letters from Nancy Dammann, author of A WAC's Story (1992); and correspondence regarding WAAC oral histories, and author of Myerson's oral history, 1985.

Massachusetts native Harriette "Hat" Gould Myerson graduated from Smith College (A.B., 1941). Myerson entered the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC), reporting to the Training Center at Fort Des Moines, Iowa, in August 1942. In 1943, she went to Adjutant General's School at Fort Washington, Maryland and after completing her training, was sent to the Army Administration School in Richmond, Kentucky, to be a Classification and Assignment Officer.
